I had just finished watch Nash Bozard's review of The Neverending Story. A good review in and of itself but it got me to thinking. What caused the Nothing to appear period? It's said the the Nothing was caused by despair and loss of hopes and dreams. To me, I think that those who read the book that have lost their aforementioned hopes caused the Nothing to appear.

It is with this in mind that I present this theory. Now we all know that it was Bastion that returned Fantasia to its rightful form. But, who brought it to begin with? In my humble yet honest opinion, it was none other than the bookstore owner that brought it into being.

Notice the scorn he had for Bastion when he first entered the store. He seemed very disdainfully rude. I believe that this was because he had lost all the hope he had. I can only speculate why as I have no concrete answer. But when the bookkeeper grinned when Bastion took the book, I believe it was the relief he had that Bastion could fix what he had wrought.

What do you think of my theory? I'd love to hear your opinions.

Until next time....
